Licorice prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Licorice in San José: 24 units tested over 4 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Licorice prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a licorice prefilled pod really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested licorice in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.47 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
