Licorice box mod IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Licorice in San José: 15 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Licorice sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Licorice box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice box mod really costs in San José
A licorice box mod from the pre-order options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.52 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested licorice in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.52 per 10 ml.
