Licorice 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Licorice in San José: 13 units tested over 2 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Licorice 30 ml shortfill here
Licorice 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Licorice in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.36 per 10 ml.
How we tested licorice in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
