Lemon starter kit IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Lemon in San José: 18 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Lemon sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you are looking at lemon in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: lemon in San José works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lemon starter kit really costs in San José
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.6 per 10 ml.
How we tested lemon in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long lemon in San José survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.6 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for lemon in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lemon the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.6 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
