Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Lemon squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.62 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a lemon squonk mod really costs in San José
If you are looking at lemon in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested lemon in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why lemon tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is lemon legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.62 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡61 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
