Lemon squonk mod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Lemon in San José: 21 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
We run lemon the same way in San José: same squonk mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a lemon squonk mod really costs in San José
Lemon sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested lemon in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lemon bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.94 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long lemon in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lemon the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.94 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
