Lemon RDA IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Lemon in San José: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Lemon RDA here
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.71 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at lemon in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: lemon in San José works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lemon RDA really costs in San José
Lemon in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested lemon in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Mixing lemon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
