Lemon cartomizer IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Lemon in San José: 24 units tested over 4 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the lemon habit
If you are looking at lemon in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.17 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long lemon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lemon cartomizer really costs in San José
A lemon cartomizer from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.17 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested lemon in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing lemon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
