Iced vape pen IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Iced in San José: 14 units tested over 3 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Iced is allowed to say
A iced vape pen from the best options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.3 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, vape pen, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a iced vape pen really costs in San José
Iced in San José reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested iced in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where iced goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest vape pen available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.3 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡64 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
