Iced sub-ohm kit IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Iced in San José: 23 units tested over 7 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
We run iced the same way in San José: same sub-ohm kit, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Iced sub-ohm kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 23 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the sub-ohm kit you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.66 per 10 ml.
How we tested iced in a sub-ohm kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where iced goes wrong
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Packaging for iced in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
