Iced RDA IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Iced in San José: 19 units tested over 3 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What iced costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
A iced RDA from the bulk options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.85 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a iced RDA really costs in San José
Iced in San José reaches the shelf in RDA formats, and the bulk ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested iced in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where iced goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.85 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
How long does iced in a RDA last?
In San José we measured 3 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
