Iced prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Iced in San José: 23 units tested over 2 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the iced habit
Iced prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 23 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced prefilled pod really costs in San José
We run iced the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested iced in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where iced goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
