Iced prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Iced in San José: 11 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with iced in Costa Rica
Iced prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
A iced prefilled pod from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.07 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: iced in San José works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced prefilled pod really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested iced in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where iced goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long iced in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.07 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.07 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
