Iced pod kit IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Iced in San José: 13 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the iced habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Iced sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: iced in San José works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced pod kit really costs in San José
Iced in San José reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested iced in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where iced goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.91 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for iced in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
