Iced pod kit IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Iced in San José: 20 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with iced in Costa Rica
Iced sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.64 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced pod kit really costs in San José
Iced sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested iced in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where iced goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long iced in San José survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.64 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does iced in a pod kit last?
In San José we measured 4 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
