Iced box mod IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Iced in San José: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Iced box mod here
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you are looking at iced in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: iced in San José works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced box mod really costs in San José
Iced in San José reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested iced in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where iced goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for iced in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.94 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
