Iced 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Iced in San José: 22 units tested over 7 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the iced habit
A iced 60 ml bottle from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.67 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Iced 60 ml bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the 60 ml bottle you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested iced in a 60 ml bottle
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 60 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where iced goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.67 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a 60 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for iced in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
