Honey refill pack IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Honey in San José: 11 units tested over 7 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the honey habit
Honey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.99 per 10 ml.
Honey in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 11 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a honey refill pack really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested honey in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every honey bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a honey bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where honey goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.99 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long honey in San José survives.
The rules that apply here

Packaging for honey in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
