Honey pen device IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Honey in San José: 14 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with honey in Costa Rica
Honey in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested honey in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every honey bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where honey goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing honey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
