Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Honey in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 10 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a honey 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
Honey in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested honey in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a honey bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where honey goes wrong
- Mixing honey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.54 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
