Herbal RDA IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Herbal in San José: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a RDA for herbal
If you are looking at herbal in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Herbal in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: herbal in San José works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal RDA really costs in San José
Herbal in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested herbal in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.01 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why herbal tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for herbal in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
