Herbal mesh tank IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Herbal in San José: 11 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Herbal mesh tank here
Herbal prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.43 per 10 ml.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 11 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a herbal mesh tank really costs in San José
A herbal mesh tank from the best options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.43 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested herbal in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every herbal bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long herbal in San José survives.
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why herbal tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On herbal the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.43 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
