The short version: herbal in San José works if the disposable vape, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal disposable vape really costs in San José
Herbal disposable vape reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested herbal in a disposable vape
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the disposable vape, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a disposable vape and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why herbal tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does herbal in a disposable vape last?
In San José we measured 5 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the disposable vape units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On herbal the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.72 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
