Herbal box mod IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Herbal in San José: 21 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a box mod for herbal
We run herbal the same way in San José: same box mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Herbal sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a herbal box mod really costs in San José
If you are looking at herbal in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested herbal in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long herbal in San José survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
