Herbal 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Herbal in San José: 10 units tested over 4 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with herbal in Costa Rica
Herbal 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
We run herbal the same way in San José: same 30 ml shortfill, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: herbal in San José works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
If you are looking at herbal in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 30 ml shortfill you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested herbal in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.07 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why herbal tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
How long does herbal in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In San José we measured 4 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
