Guava 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Guava in San José: 14 units tested over 3 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What guava costs in San José
We run guava the same way in San José: same 60 ml bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Guava prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.02 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the 60 ml bottle you buy decides how long guava tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a guava 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
Guava 60 ml bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested guava in a 60 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a guava bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every guava bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where guava goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.02 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a 60 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 60 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.02 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡49 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does guava taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the guava blend itself harsh.
