Guava 10 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Guava in San José: 21 units tested over 7 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
A guava 10 ml bottle from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.48 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: guava in San José works if the 10 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a guava 10 ml bottle really costs in San José
A guava 10 ml bottle from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.48 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested guava in a 10 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a guava bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the 10 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where guava goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long guava in San José survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 10 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
