Graphite refill pack IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Graphite in San José: 9 units tested over 3 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Graphite refill pack here
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Graphite sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a graphite refill pack really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested graphite in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every graphite bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.74 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing graphite with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.74 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡28 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is graphite legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
