Graphite RDA IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Graphite in San José: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What graphite costs in San José
The honest read on graphite: 7 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run graphite the same way in San José: same RDA, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long graphite tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a graphite RDA really costs in San José
If you are looking at graphite in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested graphite in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.26 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡41 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On graphite the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.26 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should graphite start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
