Graphite RDA IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Graphite in San José: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the graphite habit
Graphite in San José reaches the shelf in RDA formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Graphite in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long graphite tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a graphite RDA really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested graphite in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why graphite tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long graphite in San José survives.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On graphite the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.86 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
How long does graphite in a RDA last?
In San José we measured 4 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
