Grapey starter kit IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Grapey in San José: 20 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What grapey costs in San José
Grapey starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a grapey starter kit really costs in San José
Grapey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.95 per 10 ml.
How we tested grapey in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing grapey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
