Grapey pod kit IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Grapey in San José: 10 units tested over 2 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a pod kit for grapey
If you are looking at grapey in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Grapey sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested grapey in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long grapey in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.96 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should grapey start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does grapey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the grapey blend itself harsh.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.96 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡64 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
