Grapey box mod IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Grapey in San José: 13 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
If you are looking at grapey in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Grapey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.82 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a grapey box mod really costs in San José
Grapey sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested grapey in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why grapey tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
