Frozen squonk mod IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Frozen in San José: 6 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
The honest read on frozen: 6 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Frozen in San José reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested frozen in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does frozen in a squonk mod last?
In San José we measured 5 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
