Frozen refill pack IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Frozen in San José: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen refill pack really costs in San José
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.37 per 10 ml.
How we tested frozen in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing frozen with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long frozen in San José survives.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡3.37 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
