Frozen refill pack IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Frozen in San José: 16 units tested over 4 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
If you are looking at frozen in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Frozen in San José reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a frozen refill pack really costs in San José
If you are looking at frozen in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested frozen in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing frozen with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for frozen in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
How long does frozen in a refill pack last?
In San José we measured 4 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
