Frozen nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Frozen in San José: 7 units tested over 3 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Frozen is allowed to say
We run frozen the same way in San José: same nicotine salt bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, nicotine salt bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a frozen nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a nicotine salt bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested frozen in a nicotine salt bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
