Frozen 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Frozen in San José: 11 units tested over 7 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the frozen habit
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a 60 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the 60 ml bottle you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.59 per 10 ml.
How we tested frozen in a 60 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long frozen in San José survives.
