Frozen 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Frozen in San José: 6 units tested over 2 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What frozen costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The honest read on frozen: 6 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: frozen in San José works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested frozen in a 60 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.9 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Packaging for frozen in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How long does frozen in a 60 ml bottle last?
In San José we measured 2 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
