Fig starter kit IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Fig in San José: 22 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Fig is allowed to say
We run fig the same way in San José: same starter kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A fig starter kit from the starter options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.4 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a fig starter kit really costs in San José
The honest read on fig: 22 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested fig in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a fig bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every fig bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where fig goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long fig in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
What nicotine strength should fig start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
