Fig refill pack IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Fig in San José: 11 units tested over 2 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Fig is allowed to say
The honest read on fig: 11 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long fig tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested fig in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a fig bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where fig goes wrong
- Mixing fig with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡53 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.68 per 10 ml.
