Home / Fig RDA IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist

How to tell a good RDA from a repack

Fig prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.98 per 10 ml.

Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.

The short version: fig in San José works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

What a fig RDA really costs in San José

Fig in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.

How we tested fig in a RDA

1. Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
2. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
3. Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.

• Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
• Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every fig bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
• Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
• The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.

Where fig goes wrong

• Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
• Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
• Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.

The rules that apply here

Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.

Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
