Fig prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Fig in San José: 15 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Fig prefilled pod here
If you are looking at fig in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the prefilled pod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a fig prefilled pod really costs in San José
The honest read on fig: 15 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested fig in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a fig bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where fig goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long fig in San José survives.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing fig with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should fig start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
How long does fig in a prefilled pod last?
In San José we measured 9 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.77 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡49 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
