Fig pen device IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Fig in San José: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a pen device for fig
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The honest read on fig: 23 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a fig pen device really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested fig in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a fig bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every fig bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where fig goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.19 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for fig in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡3.19 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡62 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
