Fig nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Fig in San José: 7 units tested over 3 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Fig prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.64 per 10 ml.
The short version: fig in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a fig nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Fig sounds like one product. It is not: a nicotine salt bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested fig in a nicotine salt bottle
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where fig goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should fig start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a nicotine salt bottle.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
