Fig cartomizer IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Fig in San José: 8 units tested over 7 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the fig habit
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long fig tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a fig cartomizer really costs in San José
A fig cartomizer from the online options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.15 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested fig in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
Where fig goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.15 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.
