Fig box mod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Fig in San José: 6 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Fig in San José reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long fig tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a fig box mod really costs in San José
Fig in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested fig in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where fig goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.8 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
