Dessert squonk mod IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Dessert in San José: 20 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a squonk mod for dessert
Dessert prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.55 per 10 ml.
Dessert in San José reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long dessert tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a dessert squonk mod really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested dessert in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Treating the advertised ₡34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.55 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for dessert in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does dessert in a squonk mod last?
In San José we measured 2 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.55 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
