Dessert squonk mod IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Dessert in San José: 18 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with dessert in Costa Rica
The honest read on dessert: 18 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: dessert in San José works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert squonk mod really costs in San José
If you are looking at dessert in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested dessert in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every dessert bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.73 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.73 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
