Dessert pen device IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Dessert in San José: 15 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
We run dessert the same way in San José: same pen device, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Dessert pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long dessert tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a dessert pen device really costs in San José

How we tested dessert in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every dessert bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long dessert in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for dessert in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.83 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡51 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
